My love for wine has brought me to yet another craft, this time involving some twine. I didn’t know what I was getting into with this one. Everything looks easy when it’s already done.
This is the first Twine Bottle I attempted. Again, who wouldn’t love to showcase their love for wine?!
Here is my (t)wine bottle DIY:
The craft begins by polishing off a bottle of wine. First step… check.
But seriously, what’s needed:
- Wine bottle
- Twine
- Gorilla Glue
- Newspaper
- Paint brush
Time:
- 1-2 hours to create
- 24 hours to dry
Directions:
Lay down newspaper and pour a small amount of glue on the paper. I use a paint brush to apply the glue because it won’t take much nor be goopy. Begin by gluing down the twine from the bottom of the bottle (this is preference). Wrap and glue the twine to the bottle about 5-7 times before applying more glue. The glue tends to dry pretty quickly. Continue doing the previous directions until you finish the bottle. When completed, allow bottle to dry overnight.
Note: Glue will dry clear.
EXTRA: Other options to this Twine Bottle are adding fake flowers or cute letters – you can apply decorations by using gorilla glue as well.
Cheers!
